Fashion, Fashion Week, Fashion Week
Derived from the Sanskrit words Bahu (many) Roop (form), a Behrupiya is an Impressionist in the traditional performing arts of India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. The collection is a revival inspired by the authenticity of the art-form (almost extinct) to remind us of our ‘Behrupiya’ affinities as we take on various generalized roles in the society we live in. Every garment has a different form (silhouette) and can be worn in multiple ways catering to free-spirited, expressive and avant-garde clients. Drapes and patterns suggest the speckled characteristics of an ever-changing identity. The collection is set to autumn/ winter ‘18 and the dominating fabric is suitings (wool/cotton) in different forms. The color story is dark and earthy winter colors with some colors creating a surprise element.
